General Site Description: 

A small island, whose name is derived from ‘Mother of Ants’ and is located within Kuwait Bay and only 600m from the mainland.
It is known to be the site of several archaeological finds, mainly from the Islamic Era and the Bronze Age.

Ornithological interest: 

Unknown, but from Doha Spur waders, terns, gulls, terns and Crab-plovers can be seen on its beaches.
