Scarce passage migrant. Overall, European populations of the Eurasia griffon have increased in recent decades due to a number of conservation measures. One of the more majestic soaring birds in deserts and rocky hills.
Where in Kuwait 
Sometimes seen in small groups of up to 5 individuals in late autumn and winter. When seen, it is generally passing by overhead thermals and may stop to drink at quiet pools in the desert.
In the world 
A large, carnivorous scavenger with a very large range extending over Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. It typically feeds on the soft tissue of medium to large-sized mammal carcasses.
Local threats 
Poisoned carcasses, shooting, electrocution on power lines, and disturbance.
