Information

Extremely rare vagrant. Kuwait’s rarest thrush, originating in Northern Asia.
Where in Kuwait
Only 1 record for Kuwait where it was recorded at Al-Abraq in January and early February 1985.
In the world
It has an extremely large range with a population trend that is difficult to determine because of uncertainty over the impacts of habitat modification on population sizes. It breeds eastwards from central Siberia and is strongly migratory, wintering south to southeast Asia, principally in China and neighbouring countries. It is a rare vagrant to western Europe.
