Information
Common passage migrant; scarce winter visitor. Widespread on passage. Several races occur in Kuwait with slight plumage differences. This variation in plumage sometimes makes this an identification challenge since confusion may arise with related species (Desert and Hume’s).
Where in Kuwait
It is a small and abundant on passage and is a bird of fairly open country and cultivation, found in Acacia's and mature urban gardens during migration
In the world
It has an extremely large range with a population that is marginally increasing. It breeds in temperate Europe, except the southwest, and in western and central Asia and is strongly migratory, wintering in Africa just south of the Sahara, Arabia and India. A lot of research is being conducted on the divergence on the Lesser Whitethroat complex
