Information

Rare passage migrant. A small leaf warbler that is difficult to identify in the field; recently split into species status from the Greenish Warbler Phylloscopus trochiloides, which it greatly resembles.
Where in Kuwait
It has been observed in acacia habitat, as well as reed fringed pools in the Jahra area
In the world
It has an extremely large range and the population is suspected to be increasing owing to a continuing westwards range expansion. Its breeding range is in northeastern Europe and temperate to subtropical continental Asia. This warbler is strongly migratory and winters in India. It is not uncommon as a spring or early autumn vagrant in Western Europe. As it seems, it is a ring species, with populations diverging east- and westwards of the Tibetan Plateau, later meeting on the northern side
