Uncommon passage migrant; rare winter visitor. This species is usually seen in small numbers, on bushes and trees, in widely scattered areas throughout the country.
Where in Kuwait
This is a species easily overlooked as it is not as gregarious as other warbler species, but is more often found in mature habitat and has been recorded on Green Island, Tuhla in SAANR, Al Abraq in the west and Khiran in the south
In the world
It has an extremely large range with a population undergoing moderate decline. It breeds in most of Europe and in western Asia and is is strongly migratory, wintering in sub-Saharan Africa. It is hunted by Eurasian Sparrowhawks and it is a host of the Common Cuckoo.
