Information

Rare disperser in autumn, winter and spring. Although this species has a fairly extensive breeding distribution, its populations have drastically declined.
Where in Kuwait 
Generally seen in singles and recorded in both desert areas with suitable habitat as well as agricultural lands.
In the world 
A very widely distributed species, with a breeding range that extends from Spain and the Sahara, across southern Asia to Indonesia. It is known to hunt in pairs and stoops at great speed to it's prey.
Local threats 
Indiscriminate shooting, since it is known to attack chickens, it is vulnerable to persecution by farmers and collisions with powerlines.
