Extremely rare vagrant. One of Eurasia’s most widespread birds. Its normal range reaches the Zagros Mountains of Iran.

Only 1 record for Kuwait where it was observed in on Green Island in mid April 2006.
In the world
It has an extremely large range with an increasing population but is threatened by increased spring temperatures are resulting in a mismatch between food availability and offspring requirements leading to lowered reproductive success in at least some populations. It is widespread throughout Europe, Asia and the Far East and there are many subspecies, some of which lack the yellow colouration on the breast.
