Information

Scare winter visitor. Occurring almost annually in recent years in irrigated agricultural fields. Usually recorded in the company of Northern Lapwings in late autumn and winter.
Where in Kuwait 
A rare species with only 11 records for Kuwait that is primarily found in inland irrigated farmlands and very occasionally on coastal outfalls.
In the world 
It has a large range with a stable population, however it has suffered minor range contractions due to habitat loss. It is fully migratory but may only move short distances in some regions but do winter in southern Europe and north Africa.
