Information

Very common passage migrant; uncommon winter visitor, rare summer visitor. One of Eurasia’s commonest urban and farmland birds. In Kuwait, often seen migrating in large flocks mixed with other swallows and martins. It often forages over wetlands.
Where in Kuwait 
It is found in both open desert areas, near human habitation and over farmlands feeding in mixed Hirundine flocks
In the world 
It has an extremely large range with a decreasing population and is a migratory passerine bird which breeds in Europe, north Africa and temperate Asia; and winters in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical Asia. It migrates on a broad front to winter in sub-Saharan Africa. Both the scientific and colloquial name of the bird are related to its use of man-made structures and is hunted by the Eurasian Hobby.
