Information
Rare visitor in spring, autumn and winter. A large, nearly black wheatear of the Arabian deserts. A species preferring the most barren rocky deserts, usually attracted to rocky wadis and even abandoned buildings or ruins.
Where in Kuwait
It is a species found in the wadis of Jal Al-Zor escarpment, but has also been recorded in large farmlands
In the world
It has an extremely large range with a stable population and it breeds in stony deserts from the Sahara and Arabia across to Iraq. Adults of both sexes of this species are black except for a white rump and a black inverted T on its mainly white tail. Full adults have a white crown, not shown by young birds
