Information
Common passage migrant, rare winter and summer visitor. A widespread wader, staging and wintering in coastal mudflats and other muddy shores. Slightly similar to the nearly extinct Slender-billed Curlew, which was thought to have occurred in Kuwait in the past.

Primarily a coastal species, often seen in mixed flocks of waders along the entire coastline.
In the world
A species with an extremely large range and stable population that is fully migratory and travels over land on a broad front utilising few staging areas on route (in autumn no known concentrated staging occurs). On passage in the autumn and spring the species frequents wetlands, tidal flats and dry grasslands, farmland, generally occupying coastal habitats in the winter such as muddy, rocky or sandy beaches.

Loss of habitat and oil pollution.
