This species is often associated with humans and can be seen around Kuwait City, agricultural lands and desert areas across the country.
In the world
A species with a very large range and in the cool-temperate parts of its range, the Common Kestrel migrates south in winter. When hunting, the Common Kestrel characteristically hovers about 10–20 m above the ground, searching for prey, either by flying into the wind or by soaring using ridge lift.

Indiscriminate shooting and trapping for falconry.
